I guess I don’t need to tell you we had our 20 week ultrasound! The technician went through all of little Bean’s anatomy, measuring each and every body part…we watched in awe and anticipation. After about 10 minutes, the technician printed out our pictures and said the doctor will see us soon. I paused about two seconds and blurted out…”So when do we find out the sex?!” She looked at me and said “Oh, didn’t know you wanted to know”. I stopped myself from saying…You know why we’re HERE! She put her gloves back on and went back over my tummy and nonchalantly said…it’s a boy. I was in shock….
Yes, I had an idea Bean would be a boy but the more I shared my gut feeling with friends and co-workers, the more I started to second guess my gut. It didn’t help that I had a dream about Bean and I thought Bean looked like a girl (but I guess without the colors as a hint, most newborns look alike). Bean’s Dad never wavered…he knew we were having a boy. We’re so overjoyed to know a little more of what is to come with our little Bean.
